MEETING

+ KEEP LABOUR UNILATERALIST!

SPEAKER:

KEN LIVINGSTONE

MONDAY 17 JULY, 8pm Town Hall, Judd Street, Basement Study Room

The TGWU’s recent decision to support unilateralism has given a boost to those campaigning against the Policy Review. According to Kinnock and friends, now is ~ the time to “modernise” Labour’s policy as follows:

¢Increase conventional weapons; ¢Retain the fictitious “British nuclear deterent”;

eRenew a commitment to NATO; ¢Continue British hospitality for all US weapons.

The unilateral military cuts in the Soviet Union must be welcomed. Although carried out for the Soviet bureaucracy’s own economic reasons, they nevertheless reinforce our campaign against militarism and the threat of nuclear war. The high

vote for the Greens in the Euroelection was also undoubtedly a vote against

nuclear power and weapons. Now is the time to relaunch a mass CND campaign. Ken Livingstone will restate the case for unilateralism, knock down the Policy Review on defence, and tell all on how the NEC

debated the issue. Be there!
